About Texas Book Consignments
Chapter 1
The Shipyard
Chapter 2
Launching the Dream
In 2006, we officially formed the company under the name Dreamboat Books LLC. We had grandiose hopes of this company helping us buy our dream boat someday! We started offering our consignment services to public libraries. At first we really concentrated on what their needs were and how we could best serve them.
We offered the public libraries a new way to expand their book sales and to increase their fund raising efforts without the need of more volunteer hours. It was not long before the word was out and libraries were calling. Over the next 10 years, we continued to partner with more and more libraries and other organizations, and now proudly serve over 100+ libraries. These organizations are not just partners, but are our personal friends. That is why we are proud to say that no library has ever left us through all these years.

Full Steam Ahead
“We want to help the schools raise much needed money, while also helping them deal with large volumes of unused textbooks.”
Brandon and Christina Slough
Meet Brandon Slough
Brandon is definitely the face of the company, and he is the man that you will see at your library or school on a regular basis. He handles selection and pick up of your consignment inventory and spends countless hours on the road meeting with clients and hauling books.
He would like a new Yeti tumbler to keep his drinks cold on the road…his wife stole the one he got as a gift last year for her coffee.
Meet Christina Slough
While you may not see Christina as often, rest assured that her OCD mentality is keeping your inventory and accounts accurate and up to date. She handles your inventory once it gets back to the warehouse and manages the sales and staff on-site. She also manages client accounts and payments.
She would like a window office…the warehouse gets dreary.
